Recipe suggestion:  for 3 People

  • 2 purple garlic cloves
  • a small shallots or onion
  • 100 gr of bacon or Pancetta
  • sea salt
  • cracked black pepper
  • 20 gr. chopped parsley
  • 30 gr. of butter
  • 400ml of tomato sauce
  • grated parmesan.
  • fresh basil.
  • Fresh cut red chilli is optional.

Process: Simply place a large pot on your stove, fill this up with hot water from your kettle, 3 lt. of water will do for cooking 700 gr. of our Gnocchi, add salt to it and taste it, you should be able to taste the saltines, if it’s too bland add bit more salt to it.

Cut the bacon in small pieces, thinly slice the shallot and garlic don’t mix the ingredients.

In a large non-stick frying pan with high edges, place the butter, the sliced garlic, chilli and shallots gently fry in the foamy butter, add the bacon pieces, stir for few minutes until the bacon is nice and crispy before adding the tomato sauce, simmer gently for about 15 minutes, season with salt and crack pepper, add a ladle of boiling water if the sauce tend to be to tick.

Place you gnocchi strait from the packet into the boiling water, stir gently in the first minute avoiding them to stick at the bottom of the pot.

Stir time to time until it’s cooked, usually all our gnocchi  takes 3-4 minutes to cook, gnocchi will float when ready, drain them and mixed with the sauce, on gentle fire, add the grated parmesan, basil and  parsley, ready to be served.

Enjoy your perfect potato gnocchi,  simple, quick, preservative and additive free.
